     PLAYING GOLF AT PICKERING BROOK

The Public are always welcome to come and play on our par 72,        18 hole  golf course.   Established in 1960 the course is 5,563  meters long (5163 meters for the ladies) and set in the midst of natural bushland. This course  offers a unique opportunity to play a round of golf in a natural country atmosphere within 30 minutes drive of most of   Perth's  central and southern suburbs. 
 
 With Green Fees  at only  $5, which allows you to play on the course for as long as you like on the day, this has to be one of Perth's best deals !   The Fees are payable at the honour box at the clubhouse or the shelter at No.10.  The course is rarely busy outside of Club Competition days which allows you to play at your own pace or to learn how to play the game but please remember to give way to faster players behind you should that occur. Whilst this is a very much a seasonal golf course, as Mother Nature supplies the watering, it becomes one of the best kept secrets of Perth once those rains arrive. It has sand greens (always much to the frustration of the local Kangaroo population) and many varieties of Australian native flora framing the fairways ( sometimes much to the frustration of the local Golfer !!) You are welcome to play the course yourself at any time .  Enjoy the fresh air, country atmosphere and the peace and quiet  among the gum trees and the kangaroos.  You might have the whole course almost entirely to yourself, but please give way to competition players (Thursdays and Saturdays) or if  a group behind  are waiting on you. Members  out undertaking  volunteer upkeep work on the course  will be happy to say hello and answer any questions you might have.

As a member you never have to book ahead with a time slot for competitions, just get to the club house by the cut off time.(currently 10.30 am for the men on Saturdays and 9.30am. for the ladies on Thursdays) )
